About our owner

 Christian began his food service journey at 14 years old, shucking corn at the old Mountainside Outing Club before proudly moving up to pot washer at 16. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence R.I. and while there, worked with Master Chef George Karousos and family at the famous 4-star DiRoNa Sea Fare Inn. He went on to open 6 more restaurants with them over the years, as well as teach culinary arts at the International Institute of Culinary Arts in Fall River Massachusetts. He also spent time working in New Orleans at the former Fairmont Hotel and Arnaud’s. He later came home to Connecticut to open the Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in the Blue Back Square in West Hartford. It was there he met his wife, Victoria, and started a family. He spent the next 10 years honing his hospitality skills at Yale New Haven Hospitals, Quinnipiac University and Hartford Hospitals, and watching his beautiful children grow. Now that the kids are older, Christian has decided it’s time to get back into it with a new and exciting chapter - Acme Burger!
